Wartner Hand & Foot
Warts are harmless growths of the skin caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). There are several types of warts, but the most common are common warts. These warts consist of a core of connective tissue with blood vessels, covered by layers of epithelial tissue.
Common warts are recognizable by their rough, cauliflower-like surface. They are most commonly found on the hands, knees, and elbows.
Plantar warts are the same as common warts, except they are found on the soles of the feet or the bottoms of the toes. Plantar warts are flatter and often more painful due to the pressure from walking. Wartner® is specifically developed for the treatment of plantar warts and includes two additional steps for optimal pre- and post-treatment.
Warts affect 7 to 10% of the population. They are most common in children and teenagers. Warts are highly contagious and are more common when the body's immune system is weakened. Warts can spread through direct contact, from person to person, or from one part of the body to another. More than 50% of warts disappear on their own within two years without treatment. However, warts are unsightly, and plantar warts, in particular, can be painful. Therefore, many people choose to treat their warts rather than wait for them to disappear on their own.
Traditionally, there are two ways to treat warts: acidic preparations applied directly to the wart or verruca, and surgical removal by a doctor.
that uses laser therapy, combustion, or cryotherapy (freezing with liquid nitrogen). Wartner® is an effective and fast method, based on cryotherapy, to easily remove warts at home. Consult your doctor if you want to remove a wart/verruca larger than 7.5 mm.
