Volatile Citronella
Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus)
Grass native to Java or Sri Lanka. This oil was formerly called Melissa Indicum.
It is invigorating and a strong insect repellent, especially keeping mosquitoes at bay with its scent.
Ingredients
Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus) essential oil
Usage
Always read the leaflet before use. Here you will also find more information about dosages for various applications.
Warnings
Safety instructions With the exception of tea tree and lavender, essential oils should not be applied undiluted to the skin. If an essential oil accidentally gets into the eyes or causes irritation, immediately apply a fatty vegetable oil to the area. In case of accidental internal use, also immediately drink a few sips of fatty vegetable oil. This is because essential oils dissolve best in oils such as olive oil or sunflower oil. Furthermore, these oils provide immediate soothing relief. Then immediately call a doctor! Warning: Essential oils should only be used internally under expert supervision. Volatile's aromatherapist advises against internal use. Never experiment with this yourself! Always keep oils out of reach of children. Some essential oils should not be used on babies or during pregnancy.
