With the exception of tea tree and lavender, essential oils should not be applied undiluted to the skin. If an essential oil accidentally gets into your eyes or causes irritation, immediately apply a fatty plant oil to the affected area. If accidentally used internally, also immediately drink a few sips of the fatty plant oil. Essential oils dissolve best in oils like olive oil or sunflower oil. Moreover, these oils have an immediate soothing effect. Consult a doctor immediately!

Essential oils should only be used internally under expert supervision. Volatile's aromatherapist advises against internal use. Never experiment with this yourself! Always keep oils out of reach of children. Some essential oils should not be used on babies or during pregnancy.
