This product contains iron in the form of iron bisglycinate. Each iron particle is strongly bound (chelated) to two (bis) molecules of the amino acid glycine. The general term for such a compound is amino acid chelate or amino acid chelated mineral. The word "chelate" comes from the Greek and means "claw."

Usage

Kidney patients should not take more than 200 mg of vitamin C per day because of, among other things, the risk of hyperoxalemia (too high a concentration of oxalic acid in the blood).
High iron intake by young children can be toxic.
If multiple capsules are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
