Quatrefolic®, the fourth generation of folate
Quatrefolic®, also called the fourth generation of folate, has superior bioavailability compared to synthetic forms of folic acid. Stability is guaranteed by binding with glucosamine salt instead of calcium salt (the third generation of folate). Moreover, regular folic acid forms must first be converted into 5-MTHF before they are functional for the body. B2 (Riboflavin-5-phosphate)
The biologically active form of riboflavin is called riboflavin-5-phosphate. This form is immediately available to the body and does not need to undergo further biochemical processes.
