Vertargil White clay
About white clay:
White clay is the mildest and softest of all clays. Genuine white clay is 100% naturally occurring and unprocessed. It has the same cleansing properties as green clay, but is less strong and much gentler on the skin. White clay's softness makes it especially suitable for sensitive skin, babies, and children. Mixed with fatty plant oils, white clay can also be used in ointments and masks. It can also be used as a facial mask for sensitive skin. Furthermore, it is suitable for all applications where traditional talcum powder has been used up until now. Unlike talcum powder, clay powder does not clog the skin.
Quality:
In the deep south of France, clay layers have formed over millions of years. The warm, sunny climate has stored a great deal of solar energy in the clay. The clay is mined, dried in the sun, and then finely vibrated and filtered using a special technique. Each batch is laboratory-tested to meet the highest ingredient standards to guarantee top quality!
• 100% natural, sun-dried clay
• Suitable for sensitive skin and babies
• Caring for diaper rash
• Natural alternative to talcum powder
• Cleansing and soothing
• Make your own pack or compress
Ingredients (INCI)
Bolus Alba
Usage
Mask for sensitive skin:
A delicious recipe for a velvety soft white clay mask:
2 tablespoons white clay
2 tablespoons of fatty vegetable oil (with 1 drop of essential oil if desired)
The clay paste should be smooth and creamy, not too runny. Spread the prepared warm or cold clay evenly over your face. Use an average layer of 0.5 cm. Leave on for about 15 minutes; the mask will not harden. Then remove with damp cloths and discard the clay. A clay mask cleanses the skin, removes dead skin cells, firms the skin, and supports its regenerative capacity.
Baby bottoms & diaper rash:
White clay is very gentle on the skin. For irritated skin and diaper rash, the powder can be used as a substitute for talcum powder. Unlike talcum powder, clay powder doesn't clog the skin. Clay breathes! Excessive washing and ointment can disrupt the natural balance of (baby) skin. Clay is also recommended for skincare for babies and toddlers, as their skin is not yet fully developed. Moist baby skin exposed to the caustic substances in feces and urine can irritate. Many talcum powders make the skin's naturally acidic environment more alkaline, creating a breeding ground for bacteria and increasing susceptibility to irritation. Using clay powder maintains a healthy pH balance in baby skin, thanks to the minerals it contains. The clay powder can be sprinkled or used as a lotion by diluting the white clay with a fatty vegetable oil and, if desired, a little water or hydrosol.
Tip: White clay is also available in a handy shaker!
A soothing clay bath:
Add about 4 tablespoons of white clay to a body bath. A clay bath has a soothing effect on all kinds of skin conditions. Add 2 tablespoons of white clay powder to a foot bath. Nothing is more soothing than a bath with white clay and fatty plant oil; in that case, add 4 tablespoons of plant oil. Note: Rinse the bath thoroughly to prevent the drain from clogging!
Sweaty feet:
For foot odor, clay is ideal in combination with a few drops of sage, tea tree, and lavender essential oil. Sprinkle the white clay on the desired area as needed and massage it in gently.
Warnings
It is rare to be allergic to clay
Discard clay after use and keep it out of reach of children and animals. Clay is for single use only.
Clay is a wonderful natural product, but it's never a substitute for medical advice. If in doubt, always consult a physician before using clay.
