The Tester Lyme test
The Tester's Lyme self-test is a CE-certified self-test that allows you to check within 10-15 minutes whether your body has produced antibodies against the Borrelia bacteria. This helps detect Lyme disease early after a tick bite.
* CE certified
* Sensitivity: 89.09%
* Specificity: 89.29%
* Fast results within 10-15 minutes
* Can be performed at home without a visit to the laboratory
* Helps in the early detection of Lyme disease
What is this medicine used for?
This test is used to detect antibodies to the Borrelia bacteria in the blood, which indicate a possible Lyme infection. This is important if you have recently had a tick bite, with or without a visible rash.
Directions for use
Preparation
Open the test kit and place the test cassette on a clean, dry surface.
Clean your fingertip with the alcohol wipe.
Blood collection
Use the lancet to obtain a drop of blood.
Use the transfer pipette to apply two drops of blood to the test cassette.
Test execution
Add two drops of buffer solution to the same spot.
Wait 10-15 minutes and read the result.
NB:
Testing within 6 weeks after the tick bite is necessary, because the body only produces measurable amounts of antibodies after several weeks.
Testing too early or too late can give inaccurate results.
