Test yourself.nu Allergy check cat test
Dander and hair from cats and dogs are generally not harmful. Symptoms only arise if a patient has an allergic reaction to them. As with hay fever and dust mite allergy, this is called an inhalation allergy.
This means that an allergic reaction occurs as a result of inhaling certain substances. The air inhaled indoors contains all kinds of microscopic particles. If a house is home to dogs or cats, the air inhaled also contains allergens from their skin.
Unlike hay fever, pet allergy is not seasonal but occurs all year round.
The diagnosis can be made with the Allergy Check® - CAT
Allergy Check® can be used to detect an allergy in just 30 minutes.
What is this medicine used for?
Self-test for cat allergy
Directions for use
1. Use the lancet provided to puncture.
Twist the lancet guard and press the lancet with the white tip firmly against your finger until it clicks.
2. Use the provided blood collection tube to collect blood
Massage your finger until a drop of blood forms. Hold the tube horizontally in the drop. The tube will fill automatically. Fill the tube to the marked mark.
3. Drop the blood into the small opening of the test
Hold the end of the tube in the small opening of the test tube (blood drop symbol). The blood will automatically be drawn into the test.
4. Add the developing fluid and wait 15 minutes.
Unscrew the blue cap from the developer fluid and add it to the test via the large opening.
5. Activate the test by pulling out the blue slide completely
After 15 minutes, the test needs to be activated. Pull the blue slider all the way out. The fluid will then flow through the test (indicated by the reddish color).
6. After 15 minutes the test can be assessed
One or more lines will appear on the Allergy-Check® test. Use the enclosed leaflet to assess the result. With a high IgE concentration, a line may appear near the square within 15 minutes. However, if a faint line appears (square and triangle), it is recommended to leave the test for another 30 minutes after removing the blue slider before assessing the result.
