Instant green tea
Pu-erh tea is made from the Camellia sinensis tea bush and originates from the Chinese province of Yunnan. Camellia sinensis is therefore the same tea bush from which green tea is made. The main difference between green tea and pu-erh tea is the fermentation process.
After harvesting, the tea is aged for a long time in high humidity. This differs from green tea, which is only dried after the leaves are picked. Aging in high humidity maintains sufficient moisture and enzymes for fermentation. During fermentation, fungi and bacteria convert substances into a product, changing its aroma, flavor, or appearance.
The unique fermentation process gives the tea its dark red color and characteristic flavor. Pu-erh tea is known for its full, rich, and earthy notes. Fermentation can take months to years. The older the tea, the smoother the flavor.
Ingredients
maltodextrin, tetralose, lemon flavouring, red tea extract (Camellia sinensis), anti-caking agent: silicon dioxide, hibiscus extract (Hibiscus sabdarifa), L-carnitine tartrate, CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), sweetener: sucralose.
