Usage
Water glass is used, among other things, as an adhesive for paint layers and glues. It can also be used to waterproof porous ceramics, etc., with cracked glazes. The area to be treated is poured or coated with the liquid water glass. Under certain conditions, slightly preheating the area to approximately 50°C is beneficial for faster drying. The layer formed after drying sits in the pores or cracks and seals the area. However, this protective layer is not heat-resistant (hot water) and may need to be replaced after a while. Water glass is also used to make casting compounds more fluid, thus reducing the amount of water required. 500 ml bottle
