Nasanita Papillon nasal 1
Difficult nasal breathing is often caused by narrow nasal valves or a suction phenomenon in the nostrils. The Nasanita® Nasal Butterfly can help with this: it is placed in the vestibule to stabilize the nostrils internally and widen the nasal valves. This significantly facilitates and improves nasal breathing.
- safe and easy to use
- suitable for people with allergies and well tolerated
- ergonomically shaped and suitable for every nose
What is this medicine used for?
Disturbed nasal breathing in case of narrow nasal valves or unstable nostrils, for example in
- age-related nasal congestion
- physical exertion
- acute and chronic colds
- cold during pregnancy
Sleep disorders and snoring caused by narrow nasal valves or unstable nostrils, which lead to the collapse of
the nostrils during inhalation.
As an alternative to implantable dilators
Directions for use
Rinse the Nasenschmetterling® thoroughly with warm running water before using it for the first time. Then dry it thoroughly!
…for every use:
Before each use, inspect the Nasenschmetterling® to ensure it is complete and intact. Use only Nasenschmetterling® products that are in good condition.
Prepare your nose by blowing it thoroughly.
The nasal butterfly is inserted into the vestibule to stabilize the nostrils from within and widen the nasal valves.
How to use the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling®
When first using the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling®, it should be held in its original position and inserted into the nose as is. It is best to have your doctor show you how to do this: Hold the Nasenschmetterling® with the U-shaped titanium clip facing away from you. Open the silicone wings with your thumb and index finger and insert them into your nostrils, as shown. Once the silicone wings are in your nostrils, push the center of the silicone wings into your nose as far as possible toward the tip of your nose.
This is how your Nasanita Nasenschmetterling® fits properly
The Nasenschmetterling® fits properly in the nose when the open side of the U-shaped titanium bracket points towards the tip of the nose, the bracket lies flat against the underside of the nasal septum (columella), and the edges of the two silicone wings reach exactly to the edge of the nose.
The Nasenschmetterling® doesn't fit properly...
...if the U-shaped titanium clip doesn't lie flat against the columella and the silicone wings protrude over the nostrils or are pushed over the nasal valve into the nose. In that case, the Nasenschmetterling® will not improve nasal breathing.
For hygienic reasons, ensure that each family member uses their own Nasanita Nasenschmetterling®. Always keep the product out of reach of children, as young children could accidentally swallow the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling®.
Thanks to its high-quality materials, the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling® is comparatively durable. However, it should be replaced regularly. With frequent use, we recommend using the device for no more than 6 months before replacing it.
Before and after each use, the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling® should be thoroughly cleaned with warm, running water. Stubborn traces of discharge should be removed mechanically with a brush or by rubbing, for example.
Important: Don't forget to dry the product with a lint-free cloth!
Sterilizing or disinfecting the device is normally not necessary. However, if you do wish to sterilize or disinfect the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling®, use standard heating procedures (e.g., boiling or autoclaving) or disinfectants commonly used on skin and mucous membranes.
When the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling® is not in use, store it hygienically and safely in the practical Nasanita® box.
Leave the box open until your Nasenschmetterling® has completely dried.
Ingredients
Your Nasanita Nasenschmetterling® consists of high-purity, well-tolerated materials.
Warnings
Do not bend the titanium bracket!
In any case, it should be avoided that Nasanita Nasenschmetterling® is used in an injured nose or in case of strong, watery nasal secretion.
Where possible, do not use other products (e.g. a nasal spray or nasal ointment) in the nose at the same time as the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling®, as this could adversely affect the durability and fit of your Nasenschmetterling®.
Important: If the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling® is used as part of a nocturnal non-invasive ventilation therapy, so-called full-face masks must not be worn, but only nasal masks!
Side effects
When you insert the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling® into your nose, you may initially feel a slight pressure or tension. This feeling or discomfort usually disappears very quickly. However, in rare cases, the following side effects have been observed with Nasanita use:
Nasenschmetterling®: irritations such as a tingling and burning sensation in the vestibule with increased discharge, minor pressure sores, developing ulcers, and acute nosebleeds. If these side effects occur, it may be helpful to change the basic setting of the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling®. In that case, contact your doctor or a qualified healthcare professional.
healthcare professional.
Storage advice
Keep out of reach of children.
Other information
The Nasanita Nasenschmetterling® is available in a universal size that fits all nose shapes and sizes. It is designed to ensure optimal stabilization.
Because the anatomical structure of the nose can vary from person to person, we recommend having your Nasenschmetterling® fitted by a doctor or a qualified healthcare professional for the first time. Adjustments should only be made when the Nasenschmetterling® is in place in the nose. This ensures that
Prevent the bridge from becoming deformed, which could compromise the stabilizing effect of the Nasenschmetterling®. If you have any doubts about whether you are using the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling® correctly or if you are unsure whether it is properly fitted, have your doctor or a qualified healthcare professional check how you use it. If the Nasenschmetterling® is not properly fitted, it may not function properly or may not fit properly.
After the Nasanita Nasenschmetterling® has been personally adjusted to you, its shape should remain unchanged.
