The active ingredient of Mucoangin Lemon is ambroxol hydrochloride. The active ingredient
ingredient is the part of the lozenge that provides the desired therapeutic effect.
Mucoangin Lemon has a local anesthetic effect that relieves pain in acute sore throat.
What is this medicine used for?
Mucoangin Lemon is used for:
- to relieve pain in mild to moderate symptoms of acute sore throat in adults and
children aged 12 and over.
Do not use in
- You are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medicine
Be extra careful when
Warning:
- Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
- Do not use if you have poor kidney or liver function without consulting a doctor.
- Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without consulting a doctor.
- Stop use immediately if any changes occur on the skin or mucous membranes and contact a doctor.
- Do not use for more than 3 consecutive days.
Intake during pregnancy and breastfeeding
During pregnancy: Must NOT be used.
When breastfeeding: Must NOT be used
Other information
Consult your GP:
If there is also shortness of breath, wheezing, or whooping breath. If swallowing or drinking is no longer possible, there is drooling, or the mouth can no longer be opened properly. If the illness worsens or symptoms affect one side of the head. If there is a chronic illness and/or (chronically) use of regular medications. If there is a fever that lasts at least 3 days or if the sore throat lasts longer than 10 days.
Do not use in case of:
-Contact a doctor if you experience shortness of breath (dyspnea) or a tightness in your throat, or if you have an allergic reaction with swelling of the mouth and throat.
-Contact a doctor and discontinue use if a severe skin reaction occurs since starting use of ambroxyl hydrochloride.
-Please note, your throat and mouth may become less sensitive (numb) due to use.
