Select the correct cuff
Microlife offers cuffs in various sizes. Select the cuff size that corresponds to your upper arm circumference (the circumference measured around the middle of your upper arm).
If the enclosed cuff 8 does not fit, please contact your Microlife importer.
Attach the cuff to the device using the cuff connector 9 and push the connector 5 as far as possible into the device.
Cuff size for upper arm circumference
S 17 - 22 cm

Step-by-step plan for reliable blood pressure measurement
Avoid activity, eating, or smoking immediately before a measurement.
Sit in a chair with back support and relax for 5 minutes.
Keep your feet together on the floor and do not sit with your legs crossed.
Always measure on the same arm (normally the left). It's recommended that doctors measure both arms during a patient's first visit to determine which arm to measure. The arm with the higher blood pressure should be measured.
Remove clothing covering the upper arms; sleeves should not be rolled up to avoid pinching.
Always ensure that the correct cuff size is used (arm circumference marking is stated on the cuff).
Fasten the cuff around the arm, but not too tightly.
Make sure the cuff is positioned 1-2 cm above your elbow.
The artery mark on the cuff (approx. 3 cm long bar) should be placed on the vein of the arm (inside).
Support your arm so that it is relaxed.
Make sure the cuff is at the same height as your heart
Measure blood pressure
1. Press the ON/OFF button 1 to start the measurement.
2. The cuff will now automatically inflate. Relax,
Do not move or tense your arm muscles until the measurement result is displayed. Breathe normally and do not talk.
3. When the cuff is positioned correctly, the Cuff Check Indicator AR symbol will appear on the screen. When the symbol
Cuff position check AR-A appears on the screen, the cuff
moderately placed but still allows for accurate blood pressure measurement.
4. When the correct pressure is reached, pumping stops and the pressure gradually decreases. If the desired pressure is not reached, the device will automatically inflate the cuff.
5. During the measurement, the heart rate symbol AQ flashes on the display.
6. The result, including the systolic AK and diastolic AL blood pressure and the heart rate AM is displayed.
Also consult this manual for explanations of the other views.
7. When the measurement is complete, remove the cuff.
8. Turn off the device. (The monitor will turn off automatically after approximately 1 minute.)
You can stop the measurement at any time by pressing the ON/OFF button or opening the cuff (e.g. if you feel discomfort or notice an unpleasant pressure).
This meter has been specifically tested for use during pregnancy and preeclampsia. If you experience unusually high readings, you should repeat the test after a certain amount of time (e.g., 1 hour). If the reading is still too high, consult your doctor or gynecologist.
Manually set inflation
In the case of high systolic blood pressure (e.g., above 135 mmHg), it may be beneficial to set the pressure manually. Press the ON/OFF button when the blood pressure monitor is inflated to approximately 30 mmHg. Hold the button down until the pressure is approximately 40 mmHg higher than the expected systolic value, then release the button.
Perform a measurement without saving it
Once the measurement is completed and the result is displayed, press and hold the ON/OFF button 1 until the "M" symbol appears on the display. Then press the time button 4 to delete the measurement and not save it.
When the measurement is successfully removed, «CL» will appear in the display
How do I measure my blood pressure?
The triangular symbol on the left in the display AO applies to the classification of home-measured blood pressure values in adults in accordance with international guidelines (ESH, ESC,
JSH). Blood pressure: Optimal (white), elevated (shaded gray), or too high (black). Values in mmHg.
Range Systolic Diastolic Advice
1. blood pressure too high >/= 135 >/= 85 Seek medical advice
2. Blood pressure increased 130 - 134 80 - 84 Self-control
3. Blood pressure normal <130 <80 Self-check
The evaluation of the values is in accordance with the table. For example:
a blood pressure value of 140/80 mmHg or a value
of 130/90 mmHg shows "blood pressure too high".
Appearance of the irregular heartbeat (IHB) symbol
This BT symbol indicates that there is an irregular heartbeat
detected. In this case, the measured blood pressure may deviate from
your actual blood pressure values. It is recommended to
repeat measurement.
Information for the doctor in case of repeated
appearance of the IHB symbol
This device is an oscillometric blood pressure monitor that also
measures pulse during blood pressure measurement and indicates when the heartbeat is irregular
Memory storage
This device stores the last 30 measurements.
Viewing the saved values
When the device is turned off, press the M button 3. The display will first show "M" AP and "A," which represents the average of all stored values.
Pressing the M button again displays the previous value. Pressing the M button again scrolls through the measurement results.
Clear all values
If you are sure you want to permanently delete all stored values, press and hold the M button (turn the device off first) until "CL ALL" appears, then release the button. To permanently erase the memory, press the time button while "CL ALL" is flashing. Individual measurements cannot be deleted.
Cancel delete: Press the ON/OFF button 1 while «CL ALL» is flashing.

Contraindications
Do not use this device if the patient's condition meets the following contraindications to avoid inaccurate measurements or injury.
The device is not intended for measuring blood pressure in pediatric patients under 12 years of age (children, infants, or neonates).
The presence of significant cardiac arrhythmias during measurement can disrupt blood pressure measurements and affect their reliability. Consult your doctor to determine whether the device is suitable for use in this situation.
The device measures blood pressure using a pressure cuff. If the limb being measured is injured (e.g., open wounds) or is under conditions or treatments (e.g., intravenous infusion) that make it unsuitable for surface contact or pressure application, do not use the device to avoid worsening the injury or condition.
Patient movements during measurement can disrupt the measurement process and affect the results.
Avoid measuring patients with conditions, illnesses, and patients susceptible to environmental conditions that cause uncontrollable movements (e.g., tremors or shaking) and patients who cannot communicate clearly (e.g., children and unconscious patients).
The device uses an oscillometric method to determine blood pressure. The arm being measured must have normal blood flow. The device is not intended for use on a limb with limited or impaired blood circulation. If you have circulatory or blood disorders, consult your doctor before using the device.
Avoid measurements on the arm on the side of a mastectomy or lymph node removal.
Do not use this device in a moving vehicle (for example, in a car or airplane).
