The way this cherry stone pillow works is based on the absolutely dry cherry stones charging with heat and releasing this heat specifically to the affected body parts. Moreover, the cherry stone pillow does not cool down as quickly as a usual water-filled hot water bottle.
The cherry stone pillow can also be used excellently as a cold compress. In that case, you cool it in the freezer and refrigerator.
Use
Heat the cherry stone bag in the microwave or oven. Microwave: Place a cup of water in the microwave. The water vapor prevents the stones from drying out and promotes a longer lifespan. Carefully place the cherry stone pillow in the center of the turntable in your microwave. Always remove the grill from the microwave. Set the microwave's power to max. 600W and heat the pillow for approx. 1 minute. If the desired temperature has not yet been reached, extend the heating time in increments of 15 seconds. Ensure that the cherry stone pillow does not obstruct the proper rotation of the turntable. If the microwave does not have a turntable, you should turn the pillow halfway through the heating time for even heating. Oven: Heat the cherry stone pillow in a fireproof dish with a lid in the middle of the oven at a maximum temperature of 130°C. Heat the pillow for approximately 10 minutes. Turn the cherry stone pillow halfway through the time for even heating.
