Mikawa mirin rice wine bio
Lima Mikawa mirin rice wine
Rice wine made using traditional methods. Slow-brewed and aged for a year, it's perfect for both sweet and savory dishes. It originates from the Mikawa region, known for its high-quality rice wine. This is thanks to the fresh, soft water of the Yahagi River, the high-quality rice, and the mild climate.
Ingredients
Sweet rice* 52%, water, whole rice* 23%, Koji (Aspergillus oryzae). *from organic cultivation
Nutritional value
Usage
Like white wine, rice wine is ideal for flavoring stir-fries or replacing sugar in desserts. Mix Mikawa Mirin with soy sauce to create other sauces, such as those used in teriyaki. It's also delicious with miso and other fermented seasonings.
