Always trim the wick to 5mm before lighting your JOIK candle. Failure to trim the wick can cause the flame to overheat and the wick to smoke. Burning a candle under these conditions can be dangerous and compromises the quality of the candle-burning experience. If you see the flame overheating or smoking, extinguish the candle, trim the wick, and relight it.

Warnings
Do not burn the candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time. Always place the candle on a heat-resistant surface and away from objects that can catch fire. Always keep a candle out of the reach of children and pets. Do not burn candles in drafty places. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
