Jacob Hooy Verbena cut
Verbena has a thin, upright stem and can reach a height of 100 cm, with the lower part of the stem becoming woody.
Within the species, the hairy leaves can take on different forms.
The plant has no scent and tastes unpleasantly bitter when raw and unprocessed.
The flower spikes begin in the leaf axils; the 3-5 mm trumpet-shaped flowers are soft pink to violet in color.
It flowers from June until autumn. The flower spikes are slender but tough and flexible. The fruit is a schizocarp.

Cut verbena (Herba Verbenae conc.)
Usage
To be prepared as herbal tea. Use 1 teaspoon of herbs per teacup, pour boiling water over it. Then let it steep for 5 to 10 minutes as tea. Do not use during pregnancy.
