What is this medicine used for?
HeltiQ Tick Remover kills ticks quickly and safely without touching them, making them easy to remove from the skin.
Directions for use
Position the opening of the cap 1 cm above the tick. Caution! Do not touch the skin or the tick!
Hold the aerosol can as vertical as possible.
Press the can firmly 4 times to freeze the tick.
Caution! If the tick is still moving after treatment, repeat the treatment after 10
minutes.
The tick will die from freezing. If the tick doesn't fall off on its own, it can be carefully removed with the enclosed tick removal card.
Use the magnifying glass on the tick removal chart to view the size of the tick.
If it is a small tick (< 2 mm), use the small notch on the tick removal card.
Most ticks, even the smaller ones, can be removed effortlessly with the larger notch
Make sure you have a good view of the tick
Place the tick removal card close to the skin with the notch towards the tick
Slide the tick removal card close to the skin towards the tick, so that it enters the slit of the tick removal card
• Once the tick is stuck in the narrow part of the crack, remain calm and continue to slide it gently.
The tick comes loose and remains stuck in the tick removal card
Disinfect the wound with a little alcohol and note the location of the tick bite
Disinfect the tick removal card with hot water or alcohol
