Ideal Support Bandage
Due to its composition and special weaving method, a HeltiQ Ideal Support Bandage is highly elastic lengthwise (not widthwise), making it suitable for use on moving body parts. The bandage fits snugly, stays in place well, and does not "bag".
An Ideal Support Bandage can be used to apply a support or compression bandage. A support bandage provides support and stability to muscles and joints in cases of sprains, strains, bruises, and other injuries. Additionally, the bandage stimulates good blood circulation. The bandage can also be used to apply a compression bandage in case of a heavily bleeding wound.
A support bandage is often applied preventively during sports. Furthermore, the bandage provides comfortable support for varicose veins.

Use
You apply a HeltiQ Ideal Support Bandage as a support or compression bandage for sprains, strains, and injuries to muscles and joints. Or you use it to provide extra pressure for deep wounds if a cover bandage is not sufficient.
Instructions for use
Applying a support or compression bandage for a bruise, twist, or sprain 1. Wrap the support bandage around the affected area as much as possible in an "overlapping" manner. Ensure that the turns partially overlap each other. Pull the ideal support bandage slightly, but not too tightly. 2. Apply the last turn around. 3. Secure the ideal support bandage with a HeltiQ Adhesive Plaster. Applying a compression bandage for a heavily bleeding wound 1. Cover the heavily bleeding wound with a HeltiQ Rolled First Aid Bandage. 2. Then take the ideal support bandage and wrap it as much as possible in an "overlapping" manner over the rolled first aid bandage. Ensure that the turns partially overlap each other. Pull the ideal support bandage slightly, but not too tightly. 3. Secure the ideal support bandage with a HeltiQ Adhesive Plaster.
Warnings
Do not apply the bandage too tightly, as this will restrict circulation. A bandage applied too tightly can be recognized by:
- Discoloration of the extremities
- Worsening of pain
- Tingling or numbness in the extremities
- Reduced ability to move the extremities
