What is this medicine used for?
HeltiQ Honey Wound Gel contains 40% medicinal honey and has been proven effective in the natural healing of chronic wounds such as pressure sores, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and wounds caused by a tumor or metastasis or their treatment.
The gel can also be used for superficial and acute wounds such as cuts, abrasions, surgical wounds, burns (1st and 2nd degree), and skin graft donor sites. HeltiQ Honey Wound Gel creates a moist wound environment that improves wound healing. The honey wound gel prevents infection, reduces pain, and reduces the risk of scarring. After applying the honey wound gel, cover the wound with a plaster, bandage, or non-adherent wound compress.

Directions for use
Burn
COOLING
Cool a 1st or 2nd degree burn with HeltiQ Burn Gel or a HeltiQ Burn Compress.
Caution! Always consult a doctor for large and deep second-degree burns.
COVER
Apply the honey wound gel to a 1st or 2nd degree burn and cover it with a HeltiQ Eiland plaster.
When in the shower, use the HeltiQ Island Plaster Waterproof.

Surgical wound
CLEAN
Clean the skin around the surgical wound with a HeltiQ Wound Cleansing Wipe. Pat dry with a sterile HeltiQ Gauze Compress.
COVER
Apply the honey wound gel to the surgical wound and cover it with a HeltiQ Island Plaster. Use the HeltiQ Island Plaster Waterproof in the shower.

Chronic wound
CLEAN
Cleanse the chronic wound with HeltiQ Wound & Eye Spray. Pat dry with a sterile HeltiQ Gauze Compress.
COVER
Apply the honey wound gel to the chronic wound and cover it with a HeltiQ Non-Adherent Wound Compress.
COVER
Fix it with a HeltiQ Net bandage
