Heltiq Gauze Compress volume pack
HeltiQ Gauze Compress is a woven sterile gauze pad suitable for cleaning the skin around a wound, cleaning instruments, or covering small cuts. To pre-clean the wound, you can use the HeltiQ Gauze Compress in combination with a wound disinfectant. Discard the gauze compress after cleaning and use a new gauze compress to cover a small cut. For covering large cuts or small and large abrasions and burns, use a HeltiQ Non-Adherent Wound Compress.
The HeltiQ Gauze Compress is a sterile product. Because you apply the gauze compress directly from the packaging sterile to the cut, it offers initial protection against dirt, moisture, and bacteria. For a small cut, secure the gauze compress with a HeltiQ Elastic Fixation Bandage or a HeltiQ Self-Adhesive Fixation Bandage and secure the bandage with a HeltiQ Adhesive Plaster. For a large cut or a small or large abrasion or burn, always use a non-adherent wound compress and not a gauze compress.

Use
HeltiQ Gauze Compress is suitable for cleaning the skin around the wound, cleaning instruments, or covering small cuts.
Instructions for use
The gauze compress can be applied directly to the clean cut after cleaning. 1. Clean and disinfect the small cut with a HeltiQ Wound Cleaning Wipe. Dab dry with a gauze compress. 2. Take a new gauze compress and only remove it from its packaging at the last moment to keep it sterile (follow the instructions on the packaging). Hold the gauze compress by a small corner between your thumb and index finger or use tweezers. 3. Place the gauze compress on the small cut. 4. Secure the gauze compress with a HeltiQ Self-Adhesive Fixation Bandage or a HeltiQ Elastic Fixation Bandage with a HeltiQ Adhesive Plaster.
Storage advice
Store in a cool, dry place. The gauze compress is for single use. The sterility of the gauze compress is guaranteed, unless the expiry date has passed, or the packaging has been opened or damaged.
