HeltiQ Gauze Compress is a woven sterile gauze pad or compress suitable for both cleaning and covering dry or moist wounds. Dry wounds are closed wounds with a crust. Moist wounds are unclosed wounds containing exudate. Use HeltiQ Gauze Compress with a wound disinfectant to clean your wound. Discard the gauze compress after cleaning and use a new one to cover the wound.
HeltiQ Gauze Compress is made of 100% cotton and has a fine structure, making it ideal for absorbing large amounts of wound fluid.
Moreover, the compress is comfortable and soft, doesn't fray, and retains its shape well. Therefore, the HeltiQ Gauze Compress doesn't cause skin irritation.
The HeltiQ Gauze Compress is a sterile product. Because you apply the gauze compress sterile directly to the wound from the packaging, it provides initial protection against dirt, moisture, and bacteria. After applying the gauze compress, bandage the wound with a HeltiQ Elastic Fixation Bandage, a HeltiQ Self-Adhesive Bandage, or a HeltiQ Cambric Bandage. Secure the bandage with a HeltiQ Adhesive Plaster.

Directions for use
The gauze compress can be applied directly to the clean wound after cleaning to absorb wound fluid (if it is a moist wound) and protect the wound:

Clean and disinfect the wound with a wound disinfectant. You can use a gauze compress to apply this disinfectant.
Do not remove the gauze compress from its packaging until the very last moment to ensure it remains sterile. (Follow the instructions on the packaging.) Hold the gauze compress between your thumb and index finger at a slight angle, or use tweezers.
Cover the wound with the gauze compress. Then, bandage it with a self-adhesive bandage or an elastic fixation bandage and secure it with a HeltiQ adhesive bandage.
TIP
Use a HeltiQ Ointment Gauze Compress in combination with the HeltiQ Gauze Compress for abrasions and minor burns.
Rinse the wound with gently running water. Remove any coarse dirt with tweezers. Then pat the area around the wound clean and dry with a sterile HeltiQ Gauze Compress. You can stop the bleeding by using HeltiQ Blood Stop Spray. Then cover the wound with a HeltiQ Ointment Gauze Compress, bandage it with a HeltiQ Elastic Fixation Bandage, and secure it with a HeltiQ Adhesive Bandage. The soothing ointment in the ointment gauze compress prevents it from sticking to the wound. This reduces and soothes pain and minimizes the risk of scarring.
Aftercare
To remove the gauze compress, gently peel it off. If the gauze compress sticks to the wound or skin, try soaking it with lukewarm water.
Check the wound, gauze compress and bandage regularly for leakage or drying out (adhesion of the gauze compress to the wound).
Change the bandage daily or several times a day if necessary.
