What is this medicine used for?
Kinesio tape is designed to train the neuromuscular system and increase circulation, thus reducing pain and providing greater protection.
When proper kinesiology taping techniques are used, kinesiology tape can be used for a variety of purposes, including chronic pain, mild sprains, and performance enhancement.
Directions for use
Kinesio tape can be applied to weakened joints to help prevent injuries. Hansaplast Kinesio tape is the gold standard when it comes to supporting your ankle, stabilizing your shoulder, or protecting your knee ligament.
At your next big competition, use these four essential kinesiology binding techniques to help protect yourself:
1. Back injuries
Stand up straight and place one side of the kinesio tape on the left side of your sacrum, parallel to your spine
Carefully bend forward and stick the other side where it will end up on your back
Repeat this action on the other side of your spine
2. Hamstring injuries
Stand and lean gently on a table-high surface with your knees straight
Place 1 piece of kinesio tape on the center of the top of your hamstring
Gently stretch the tape across the outside of your hamstring until the tape reaches below your knee
Repeat this action for the inside of your hamstring
3. Calf injuries
Lie on your stomach with your foot over the edge of a bed
Gently bend your ankle forward and place the kinesio tape under your heel
Gently stretch the tape along your Achilles tendon and the outside of your calf muscle
Repeat this action with a second piece of tape for the inside of the calf muscle
4. Ankle injuries
Place one side of the kinesio tape just below and behind the outside of your ankle
Gently stretch the tape along the outside of your lower leg while gently rotating your foot inward
