What is this medicine used for?
Hansaplast Aqua Protect XL/XXL plasters are sterile plasters for 100% waterproof protection of larger and post-operative wounds.
Directions for use
1. Clean
Cleaning the wound and removing dirt and bacteria is an essential first step for optimal wound healing. To reduce the risk of infection, spray the Hansaplast Wound Spray onto the entire wound area from a distance of approximately 10 cm. Repeat if necessary, then gently dry the wound and surrounding area with a sterile compress. The spray can also be used for chronic wounds and postoperative wound care as directed by your doctor. The Hansaplast Wound Spray also helps remove crusts and clots.
Important: A minor wound will quickly stop bleeding. If bleeding continues, apply more gauze, maintain pressure on the wound, and seek medical attention.
2. Protect
Next, it's important to protect the wound from external influences such as dirt and bacteria to enable undisturbed wound healing. Cover the wound with the sterile Hansaplast plaster that best suits your needs. Continue to monitor the wound and change the plaster or dressing regularly unless your doctor recommends otherwise. This article on plaster knowledge may be helpful. Apply the sterile Hansaplast plaster to the skin without stretching or wrinkling. Press the plaster firmly in place. 3. Heal
Help your wound heal safely, quickly, and with a reduced risk of scarring. Apply Hansaplast Wound Healing Ointment regularly until the wound is completely healed. Gently apply a thin layer once or twice a day, ensuring the opening of the tube does not touch the wound. Repeat regularly until the wound is completely healed. Hansaplast Wound Healing Ointment can be used on small, superficial open wounds at any stage of the healing process. If necessary, cover the wound with a plaster, bandage, or compress. This step is optional for postoperative wounds and only after the wound has completely healed.
