The Dominican Republic is a well-known supplier of Trinitario cocoa. Our partner Conacado is a cooperative representing 10,000 small-scale cocoa farmers and has initiated the shift to well-fermented organic and fair trade cocoa for customers with high quality requirements. They have established large facilities across the island, spread over seven regions, where the cocoa is brought for fermentation and drying under constant quality control.
