Patchouli is a well-known oil from the sixties and seventies. Clothing from India was recognizable by its patchouli scent. The patchouli plant is somewhat similar to our peppermint. Its strong scent has its admirers and haters, which is usually quite obvious. It's an important ingredient in the perfume industry. Patchouli soothes nervousness that manifests as skin complaints. It can also be used for skin that needs repair, such as pimples, inflamed skin, etc. When evaporated, patchouli has a grounding and uplifting effect and is effective for stress and fatigue.
When used on the skin, the essential oil should be mixed with a massage or fatty plant oil.

Use in a fragrance lamp or use in a cosmetic preparation.

Avoid release to the environment. IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Do NOT induce vomiting. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
