Chi Marula oil organic
Marula oil is extracted from the nuts of the marula tree native to southern Africa. The tree is also known as the "elephant tree" because elephants enjoy eating its fruit. For thousands of years, the marula tree has been deeply rooted in African traditions. All parts of the plant are used in traditional skincare and for health benefits. This tradition endures because the oil is so effective for daily skincare.
The natural oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the marula tree, which contain up to 56% oil. At room temperature, pure marula oil is liquid and absorbs immediately into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. The best marula oil is cold-pressed, unrefined, and has a soft, fruity scent. The oil is rich in minerals such as magnesium, copper, and zinc.
- For normal to dry and sensitive skin
- Hydrates and protects the skin
- Quickly absorbing without a greasy feeling
- Nourishes dry and brittle hair
- Rich in antioxidants and vitamin E
- 100% pure and organic, cold-pressed and unrefined
Ingredients (INCI)
Marula (Sclerocarya birrea) oil organic
Usage
For the hair
Marula oil deeply nourishes dry and damaged hair. Apply marula oil to towel-dried hair, from scalp to ends. Leave it on for at least an hour, but preferably overnight. Then wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
For massage
Marula oil is wonderful as a massage oil, either pure or blended with other natural oils. Use 100ml of pure marula oil, optionally with 10-15 drops of essential oil, for a relaxing massage. Tip: mix it with almond oil, for example, to slow the absorption of the oil.
Storage advice
Store in a dry place, closed, out of reach of children.
Due to its high oleic acid content and natural antioxidants, unrefined, cold-pressed Marula oil has a shelf life of approximately 18 months.
Warnings
For external use only.
