Chi Mandarin cultivar
Mandarin adds a fresh, fruity scent to any room. Its soft, sweet scent creates a sense of security. This is likely why almost all children love mandarin oil. It's also why it's often used by mothers with busy families. Mandarin provides a moment of calm, which is why it's included in the Lavinchi Relax Mix. Because its scent also has a cheerful effect, it's also included in the Happiness Mix.
Did you know that the flowers and fruit grow simultaneously? The mandarin tree is native to Southeast Asia and the Pacific. It usually doesn't grow taller than 4 meters and has glossy, elongated, dark green leaves and numerous fragrant white flowers. The essential oil yield for mandarin is a maximum of 0.8%. This means that approximately 120 kilos of peels are needed to produce 1 kilo of oil. The color of mandarin oil ranges from yellow to orange. The oil sometimes has a floral note.
There are two types of mandarin oil on the market, depending on the ripeness of the fruit used: "green" mandarin from slightly unripe fruit and "red" mandarin from the peel of ripe fruit, harvested in January and February. Both oils have the same properties, but the difference lies primarily in the aroma: red mandarins are riper, and therefore red mandarin oil has a slightly sweeter aroma. This green mandarin oil is fresher and fruitier.
Compound
Citrus nobilis peel oil, naturally contains: Limonene, Linalool, Citral.
Usage
In the ultrasonic vaporizer: the nose determines the number of droplets, on average between 5 and 20 drops drip onto the water in the vaporizer.
In the Aroma Inhaler: Put 20 drops on the cotton swab.
On the fragrance stone: Use 5 to 10 drops for use of the stone on the toilet, wardrobe or on the bedside table.
The oil can also be used in a cosmetic preparation.
