Chi Beeswax eco
Beeswax is a key ingredient in natural skincare. It provides firmness, doesn't clog the skin, and has inherent skin-conditioning properties. It's a wonderful product for making balms and ointments! In ancient Greece, beeswax and olive oil were mixed with rosewater and used as a kind of cream.
Beeswax is good for dry skin: it has a protective effect and helps prevent the skin from drying out.
Worker bees produce wax using wax glands located on both sides of their abdomens. The secreted liquid wax solidifies in the open air, forming small wax plates. The bees then shape it into combs and use it to build honeycombs. After the honey is extracted from the combs, the wax is melted with hot water, filtered, and molded. This creates the yellow beeswax with its honey-like scent.
