JOBST Comprinet Pro compression stockings are seamless, circular-knit anti-embolism stockings with high stretch. They are designed to support vein function and prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and edema following orthopedic surgery. Comprinet Forte 35 can also be used in the treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis.

What is this medicine used for?
JOBST Comprinet Pro stockings are indicated for thrombosis prophylaxis in surgical patients before, during and after surgery and in patients requiring prolonged immobilization.
Directions for use
Before using JOBST® Comprinet® pro anti-embolism stockings, cover any open wounds with a suitable dressing.
Perform periodic neurovascular assessments using the inspection window.
Remove the stocking at least daily for skin hygiene and inspection.
When putting on the compression stockings, do not pull on the top of the stockings. Follow the
the recommendations below.
– Pull the stocking down over your arm and grasp the inside of your heel with your fingers.
– Turn the stocking inside out and hold the heel.
– Pull the inside of the stocking over the front of the foot to the heel.
– Pull the stocking as high over the calf as possible.
– Reach two fingers into the overlapping crease and slide them over the heel.
– Fold the stocking back and pull it over the calf.
– Carefully adjust the fit to ensure the heel section fits snugly over the
rounding of your heel.
– Align the foot section without any wrinkles with the color-coded inspection window.
– Slowly and carefully pull the rest of the material up over the knee to the thigh
while guiding it with your thumbs.
– Check that the entire stocking fits properly and smooth the elastic with your thumbs.
– If you are wearing a chap style (hip fastening), close the buttons on the waistband for a
good fit
Special notes on donning and doffing:
Long nails and jewelry can damage the stockings when putting them on.
Make sure that the compression stockings do not come into contact with greasy ointments and body lotions
or similar substances unless recommended by JOBST®.
Loose threads or loops should not be cut off as this will cause holes or ladders in the
stockings can develop
Cleaning and maintenance
Can be washed up to 10 times according to the instructions.
Do not use additives such as fabric softeners, whiteners or stain removers.
Rinse your compression stockings thoroughly.
Do not wring.
Do not let the compression stockings dry on a radiator or in direct sunlight.
Do not bleach.
Dry flat or tumble dry on low temperature.
Do not dry clean.
Do not iron.

Contraindications
JOBST® Comprinet® pro anti-embolism stockings are contraindicated (must NOT be worn) if you have one or more of the following medical conditions:
have conditions:
• Severe peripheral arterial occlusive disease
• Uncontrolled/ (decompensated) heart failure
• Septic phlebitis
• Phlegmasia coerulea dolens
• Untreated and/or progressive skin infection (e.g. erysipelas) related to the
area where the product will be worn
• Open wounds that are not covered with a suitable dressing
• Hypersensitivity to any material contained in the product

Warnings
Medical compression stockings should only be used after consultation with your healthcare provider
and should be checked by them regularly for proper treatment.
Your healthcare provider will decide whether compression can be applied to patients in general
with polyarthritis (unspecified), complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS, Morbus Sudeck),
lymphedema of malignant origin and medical conditions involving increased venous
and lymphatic return is not desired.
Contact your healthcare provider if you have experienced or notice any of the following:
develops: controlled/compensated heart failure, mild to moderate peripheral arterial
occlusive vascular disease, peripheral neuropathy, severely impaired skin sensitivity and
reduced sensitivity of a limb, as well as skin infections or wet eczema.
If you experience discomfort, pain, numbness, changes in skin color while wearing,
notice pinching, pressure marks or the development of new wounds or swelling,
then stop using the product and contact your healthcare provider.
A trained healthcare provider should take the patient's measurements to ensure proper fit.
