Culinary table salt in a decorative jar, fleur de sel from Guerande (South Brittany), is the result of a close collaboration between nature and the ancestral skill of the "paludier." On a few summer evenings, after the warm hours spent on the sun-drenched plain, the paludier "picks" the rare Fleur de Sel crystallized on the surface of the salt pan. Simply dried by the sun, this salt, naturally rich in minerals (magnesium, calcium, and potassium), enhances the flavor of both the simplest and most refined dishes.
