Usage
One cup of uncooked rice yields about 3 cups of cooked rice.
Rinse the rice thoroughly in a colander until the water runs clear. Place the rice in the saucepan. Add 2.5 cups of water for every cup of rice. Bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and keep the water simmering. Cover the saucepan. Cook until the rice is tender and the water has been absorbed. Drain if necessary. Let the rice rest for at least 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork and process.
For a different flavour, the rice can also be cooked in stock.
