Hold the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to your gum line. Brush each tooth by moving the brush up and down in a gentle circular motion. Make sure you brush all teeth and all surfaces this way—including the outside, inside, and tops of the teeth. Try holding the brush vertically and moving it up and down to reach difficult spots. And don't forget to brush your tongue as well, to prevent bad breath.
