What is this medicine used for?
Bausch & Lomb ReNu Multi Plus Fresh Lens Comfort is indicated for daily cleaning, removal of protein deposits, rinsing, chemical (not thermal) disinfection and storage of soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses.
Directions for use
Follow these simple steps to clean, disinfect, and remove protein from your lenses daily.
STEP 1:
Apply 3 drops of ReNu MultiPlus Fresh Lens Comfort multi-purpose solution to each side of the lens and gently rub the lens clean for 20 seconds.
STEP 2:
Rinse each side of the lens thoroughly for 5 seconds with ReNu MultiPlus Fresh Lens Comfort multi-purpose solution.
STEP 3:
Place the cleaned contact lens in the lens holder and fill it with fresh ReNu MultiPlus Fresh Lens Comfort multi-purpose solution. Let the lenses soak in the solution for at least 4 hours. Always use fresh solution.
Your contact lenses are now ready to use.
Rinsing with saline solution is not necessary.
If there is still dirt on the contact lenses, rinse them with ReNu MultiPlus Fresh Lens Comfort multi-purpose solution before inserting the contact lenses.
Always follow the advice of your contact lens specialist.
Based on the composition of your tear fluid and wearing schedule, your eye care professional may recommend additional products or procedures.
Contraindications
If you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients in the product, do not use this product.
Ingredients
A sterile, isotonic fluid containing HYDRANATE® (hydroxyalkylphosphonate) 0.03%, boric acid, edetate disodium, poloxamine 1%, sodium borate, and sodium chloride; preserved with DYMED™ (polyaminopropyl biguanide) 0.0001%.
Warnings
It is essential that you carefully follow the instructions for caring for your contact lenses and contact lens care products (including lens cases) on the product leaflets and packaging.
Eye problems, including inflammation of the cornea, can develop quickly and can lead to vision loss.
Lenses designed for daytime wear should not be left in while sleeping.
Clinical research has shown that the chance of negative side effects increases when these lenses are left in overnight.
Lenses that are suitable for day and night wear should be removed regularly either for cleaning and disinfecting, or for replacement according to the replacement schedule prescribed by your eye care professional.
Clinical research has shown that adverse events are more common in day and night lens wearers (during
Sleeping) are reduced compared to daytime-only lens wearers. Research has also shown that the risk of adverse side effects increases as lenses suitable for day and night wear are worn longer and are therefore cleaned, disinfected, and replaced less frequently.
In addition, research shows that smokers are more likely to experience negative side effects.
If irritation or excessive tearing occurs, persists or increases or if your vision becomes worse, discontinue use and contact your eye care professional immediately.
Contact lens wearers are advised to visit their contact lens specialist at least twice a year.
Every time you store your contact lenses in the lens case, you should fill it with fresh contact lens solution.
Never reuse the old fluid.
Discard the contact lens solution immediately after removing your lenses from the lens case.
You should never treat your lenses with water or store them in a lens case that has been rinsed with water, whether tap water, bottled or distilled water, or any other non-sterile liquid.
First, empty your lens case, then clean and rinse it with ReNu MultiPlus Fresh Lens Comfort multi-purpose solution.
Let your lens case air dry after each use.
Replace your lens holder every month.
Failure to discard the solution from the lens case after each use or to use water when caring for your lenses can lead to eye infections and possible loss of vision.
See the enclosed leaflet for important additional safety information.
Storage advice
Close the bottle tightly after use.
Please adhere to the expiry date as stated on the packaging and bottle.
Discard any remaining contact lens solution in the bottle 90 days after opening.
