Bamboo salt
AROMEDICA bamboo salt is sea salt that is traditionally fired multiple times in bamboo tubes. Packed in bamboo tubes sealed with red clay, the salt is then fired in pinewood-fired kilns. The salt is then removed from the bamboo, beaten loose, and repacked in a new bamboo tube. This cycle is repeated between one and nine times, with the temperature increasing with each firing cycle, from 1000 to 1500 degrees Celsius.
The burnt salt thus acquires an increasingly high mineral content from the bamboo, which increases with the number of firings. The salt is very alkaline, and depending on the concentration, the pH value varies between 9 and 12. For this reason, it is said that bamboo salt can restore balance to an acid-overloaded organism. The complex production process is still carried out traditionally, without the use of mass production techniques. This results in a rare and valuable product, which is only available in limited quantities.
This bamboo salt is a hygroscopic product.

Usage
Roasted bamboo salt has an extremely salty flavor, is as fine as powdered sugar, and feels very pleasant to the touch. Bamboo salt is suitable for salting raw vegetables. It adds a unique flavor to typical Korean dishes with rice or millet.
