Lemon is a small evergreen tree with oval leaves, fragrant flowers, and green fruits that turn yellow. The tree bears fruit year-round. The essential oil is extracted by pressing the peel of the almost-ripe fruits. Lemon has a fresh, light, sharp top note and a slightly sweet, citrusy base note.
