Empty a sachet of nasal irrigation salt into the nasal douche and fill it with lukewarm water. The water you use may be boiled, but does not need to be. Western European tap water is generally clean enough. Shake the nasal douche gently before use. Make sure you have a tissue or paper towel handy to wipe your nose while rinsing.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e 2. Lean forward slightly and place the nasal douche at an angle (about 45°) into one of your nostrils.\u003cbr\u003e\r \u003cbr\u003e3. Gently squeeze the nasal irrigator and let the nasal saline rinse flow out of your nose. The nasal saline rinse can flow out through the same nostril (for severely congested noses) or through the other nostril. Either is fine. If necessary, gently blow your nose. This will release additional nasal saline and debris from your nose. Place the tip of the nasal irrigator in the other nostril and repeat this process until the nasal irrigator is empty.
