It takes a little practice to get the hang of it, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy and comfortable.
Before using the cup for the first time, you must sterilize it: wash your hands and pour plenty of boiled water into a small saucepan. Submerge the cup completely for 3-4 minutes. Remove the cup from the water, and it's ready to use. We recommend repeating this process after each use to keep your cup perfectly clean.
HOW TO INSERT
Step 1. Wash your hands thoroughly and find a comfortable position. Recommended positions include squatting, sitting on the toilet, or standing.\r
Step 2. Fold the cup (Fig. 1). There are two ways to fold the cup:
A – Push both sides of the cup together and fold the cup in half, forming a “U.”
B – Place one finger on the rim of the top of the cup and push it inward, forming a triangle.
Step 3. (Figs. 2 & 3) While holding the folded cup in one hand, gently spread your outer labia with your other hand. Insert the cup into your vagina toward your tailbone until the stem is level with the vaginal opening and does not protrude. Do not insert the end of the stem more than 1.5 cm into your vagina. The cup sits lower than a tampon. Once inserted, release the cup; it will open and conform perfectly to your vaginal walls.\r
Step 4. (Fig. 4) To ensure the cup is properly positioned, rotate it 360° in either direction by grasping it at the base (above the stem). The cup should rotate easily when properly positioned. To ensure the cup is fully open, insert one finger into your vagina and gently press against one side of your vaginal wall to create space for the cup to open fully. If the stem irritates your vaginal wall after proper insertion, you can remove the cup and trim the stem slightly. If the stem is completely cut, it will be more difficult to remove the cup.
HOW TO REMOVE
1. Wash your hands
2. Assume a comfortable position (standing, sitting on the toilet, or squatting). Insert your index finger and thumb into your vagina and feel for the stem or bottom of the cup.
3. The pulling will be easier with a gentle tightening of the lower abdominal/pelvic floor muscles.\r
4. Gently pull on the stem so that you can firmly grasp the base of the cup.
5. Gently squeeze the base of the cup to break the vacuum. When removing the cup, hold it at an angle and rock it back and forth.
6. Once the cup is completely removed from the vagina, hold it vertically so that the contents remain inside. Then empty the cup into the toilet.
7. Wash the cup with clean water so it's ready for the next use. Make sure the holes on the top are thoroughly cleaned. You can also use unscented soap. If clean water isn't available, you can dry the cup with toilet paper or a tissue and then rinse it with clean water.
OTHER TIPS\r
The menstrual cup should be emptied at least every 12 hours. We recommend washing and cleaning the cup 2 to 3 times a day after emptying. Once you've got a handle on your cup usage and your flow, you'll quickly know how often you need to empty it. Wash, clean, and dry your GENIAL DAY® cup thoroughly after each period. Be sure to clean the suction holes as well. Store the cup in the included cotton pouch.
You can use the cup at night, during sports and in the pool.
You do not need to remove the cup to urinate or defecate.

Warnings
Use the cup according to the instructions and only during menstruation.
The cup must be removed before having intercourse. Remember that the menstrual cup is not a contraceptive or protection against sexually transmitted diseases.
The menstrual cup is for intimate use, so it is better not to share it.\r
Clean the cup with unscented, mild soap and warm water. Do not use scented soaps, oil-based soaps, castile soap, alcohol, antibacterial soaps, hand soap, vinegar, tea tree oil, wet wipes, dish soap, peroxide, bleach, or other harsh chemicals.
Do not use an oil-based lubricant to insert the cup.
Never store the cup in a plastic bag or an airtight container.
The menstrual cup can be used in conjunction with an IUD or a diaphragm. Consult your doctor before using the cup.
If you experience any negative effects, stop using the cup and consult your doctor.
If your cup shows any signs of damage, it's recommended to replace it. Dispose of it in the trash. NOTE: The color of the cup may naturally fade slightly over time. This does not affect its effectiveness.
Keep the menstrual cup out of reach of children and animals.
How often should you replace your menstrual cup?\r
Regularly inspect your cup for signs of wear and tear, such as a sticky or powdery residue, discoloration, odor, and/or irritation. Since it's a personal hygiene product, you should generally replace your cup after one year. However, it's up to the user to decide when to replace their cup.

Manufacturer / Distributor
Gentleday Benelux,
Bleiswijkseweg 37c,
2712PB Zoetermeer
